| Abstract | The method of Markov chains with continuous time is analytically presented for use in the study of system reliability. Then, this method is applied to the assessment of predictive reliability indicators of a geothermal heat pump system. The number and complexity of the necessary initial data, accuracy of the evaluation, number of reliability indicators that may be determined, and hierarchy of component sub-systems are given, considering their impact on the reliability of geothermal heat pump systems. |
