The various and ohemioal properties whioh geothermal effluents and may effeots to natural environments have been desoribed by Ellis ,and there is other reoent literature on effeots. In the first diploma of the Auckland University Geothermal Institute, were given on airborne and waterborne wastes. This paper will therefore not refer in detail to speoifio geothermal effluents, but rather deal with some environmental of geothermal exploitation and environmental issues in relation to partioular areas of New Zealand. |
