| Abstract | Landsvirkjun has formed a project to work on real-time measurement of well output. The aim is to run a number of experiments on wells with varying output, steam quality, chemical composition etc. The experiments will be set up such that real-time output can be measured in a separator at the end of a flow line. The flow line will contain several types of sensors that might be utilized to estimate total flow and enthalpy of the two-phase fluid. Interested parties are invited to work with Landsvirkjun on solving this challenge by testing data processing algorithms and various measurement types in the flow line. The goal is to come up with a simple and robust set of sensors for the task, which eventually could be utilized by geothermal power producers for real-time well output monitoring. |
