| Abstract | The paper briefly presents the therapeutic effects of the cold, shallow thermo-mineral, and deep thermo-mineral waters from the Calimanesti-Caciulata spa in Romania. The aquifers in the area are presented in larger detail, mainly the geothermal reservoir, including some results of a computer simulation for long-term production. The final part of the paper presents the outcome of a project carried out in 2001-2002, with partial financial support obtained from the European Commission in the INCO - COPERNICUS program, for the design and completion of a heating system using geothermal water and the combustible gases separated from it. |
