| Abstract | At present, the primary thermal source for both space and tap water heating is supplied by the co-generation power plant located west of Oradea, which has two units fired by natural gas, and three more fired by low-grade coal. The paper briefly describes the geothermal aquifer, technical solutions for the utilisation of the available geothermal energy for space and tap water heating, and the environmental impact of the proposed technical solution compared to the current situation. |
