Abstract This paper describes the past and present using status of geothermal resources in Dagang district, Tianjin, a method could improve the utilization ratio of geothermal resources is especially proposed. Extraordinary, heat storage technique is emphasized that it is an effective approach to increase the utilization ratio of geothermal energy of agricultural greenhouse. According to analyzing the structure, materials and heat preservation materials of heat storage pond, brick and concrete structure was chosen finally, and tabulate foam was covered to avoid heat loss. By means of experimentation to a semi-underground pond with 1m3 over 24 hours, the temperature of geothermal water decreased 7℃. It can be concluded that the pond could avoid heat loss effectively and it is a good way of geothermal heat preservation. This paper could provide some valuable reference for similar glass greenhouse to develop heat storage technique.
