| Abstract | Geothermal Energy Research & Development Co., Ltd. (GERD) and Meisei Electric Co., Ltd. (MEC), delegated by the New Energy Development Organization (NEDO), have been engaged in the "Development of A High Accuracy Magnetotelluric (MT) Method Exploration Technology" as part of the "Confirmation study of the effectiveness of prospecting techniques for deep geothermal resources,It, a MITI Sunshine project, under a 5-year plan since FY 1984. In September 1987, the fourth year of research and development, this system was used to conduct a field test in and around the spa of Takenoyu, Kumamoto Prefecture for about 2 months. The test was carried out in order to make sure that the real time 4-point triplereference processing MT, development object:Lves for FY 1987, would work properly. As a result, it was ascertained that all the operations can be performed successfully in regards to all processes from the acquisition to analysis of data. This paper is focused on the results of analysis made using the data of the field test. |
