| Abstract | The Okuaizu geothermal area is located at 20 km to the westsouthwest of Aizu-Wakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, in the Northeast Japan. Geological, geophysical and geochemical survey in this area were first started by the Geological Survey of Japan in 1976, and drilling survey was commenced in 1977 with the government budget. Since 1984 the exploration and development are carrying on by the Okuaizu Geothermal Co. Ltd. |
