| Abstract | The Otway Basin contains a number of Hot Sedimentary Aquifer (HSA) geothermal resources with potential for commercial development. The methodology Hot Rock Limited has used to assess these resources is detailed in this paper. The resulting stored heat estimates for the HSA resources of the Otway Basin is large, even by world geothermal standards. A total of 550,000 PJ of HSA resources have been so far estimated and declared by three companies. |
