Abstract Microseismic monitoring has been used in Hot Dry/Fractured Rock (HDR/HFR) projects worldwide as one of the standard techniques to monitor stimulation. The authors have been investigating uper resolution mapping techniques of the microseismic events to obtain more reliable locations of the hypocenters and more detailed analyses of the response of the fracture system to the stimulation. In this paper, we illustrate the concept of coherence-based analysis and demonstrate results from stimulations carried out in the Cooper Basin and at Basel, Switzerland.
