| Abstract |
In order to prepare the country update report for the WGC2005, Geothermal Council of China Energy Society collected and processed the newest statistic data which concerned to geothermal development utilization and various corresponding inputs from all over the country. The total utilized energy of direct-use of low temperature geothermal resources in China has now reached 10,779 GWh/yr, or said 38,804 TJ/yr. It has increased 23.6% than in 5 years ago. This statistics reflect a steady progress of geothermal development in China, but also reflect a certain of problem. More new wells drilled in a given geothermal field that led to a decrease of capacity factor. The percentage of geothermal power in new energy power has also decreased in recent years. |
