| Abstract | Generalised cash-flow models for geothermal exploration and development projects in Australia have been created for a hypothetical case using different play concepts, heat flow conditions and site-specific costs. A comparison of the levelised cost of power production for play types and site-specific costs have been generated using standard assumptions for flow rate and temperature. A sensitivity analysis of model variables, including conductive heat flow, demonstrate the relative advantages and disadvantages of Engineered Geothermal System (EGS) plays over Hot Sedimentary Aquifer (HSA) plays.
