| Abstract | Standing column well is widely used due to its efficiency. This paper describes the numerical modeling of a standing column well. The hydro-thermal coupled analyses were performed using a commercial finite-volume code, and heat transfer through advection, convection, and conduction were modeled. The numerical model results were compared with actual measurements to verify its accuracy. Comparisons demonstrate the close match between the simulated and measured temperatures of the well. |
