| Abstract | The ways in which borehole heat exchangers are used in various climatic conditions are analyzed and compared in this paper. The heating and cooling modes of heat pumps were considered. The analysis was based on economic and energy operation of a heat pump system for a typical family house. The costs of running borehole heat exchangers in Poland and Greece were compared. |
