| Abstract | The paper presents the basic technical requirements that have to be met by compression heat pumps in Polish heating installations using geothermal waters. The discussion takes into account the required geothermal installation operating parameters and the energy mix used to produce the electricity that powers the heat pumps. Taking into consideration the existing limitations, the conditions that have to be fulfilled in order for the use of compression heat pumps to be efficient from the energetic and economic points of view have been determined. |
