Abstract Thermodynamic performance of successively counterflow, multistage and combined models of heat pump units with regard to their utilization conditions in geothermal heating systems is under study. The numerical simulations of static operating conditions for successively counterflow and multistage schemes of heat pump units for geothermal heating systems are carried out. The results of exergy analysis for different technologic schemes of high-temperature heat pump units are presented.
