| Abstract | There are 7 separation stations at the Miravalles Geothermal Field (Costa Rica). Each station is fed by 3 or more producing wells. It is possible to determine a wells production curve on line, if steam and water flow from the separation station are analyze. For the determination of the curve, the conditions of the well production under study must change, and maintain productivity with another well (or wells) from another separation station. An analysis of the differences in the flow from each station, estimates the relative contribution of the well (brine and vapor), the enthalpy, and therefore the production curve. The analysis can be complemented by geochemical studies (e.g. gases) at different flow conditions, while the well is in production. |
