Abstract Lumped parameter modeling is a valuable alternative to the complex process of numerical modeling of a geothermal field. In spite of limited capacity, this modeling process can give an idea of the possible evolution of a geothermal field under different, easily envisioned production scenarios. In this paper, the results obtained in a new estimation of the behavior of the Miravalles reservoir are compared with the conditions observed in a previous lumped parameter model.
