| Abstract | There are more than 3000 natural geothermal outcrops in China. The two high temperature geothermal areas in China are the Taiwan geothermal zone and Himalayan geothermal zone. Low temperature geothermal areas are widely spread in the vast area of the Chinese mainland. The distribution of hot springs, geothermal wells and heat flow are controlled by geological structure. If the Ordos Basin and Sichuang Basin are considered to be located at the center, geothermal areas in China can be divided into three sections: the eastern, western, and middle geothermal areas. |
