Abstract Xi'an is located in the middle part of Wei River basin , in the south of Fenwei Basin . There have well condition to store up much geothermal , so there are abundant geothermal . In order to prolong the life time of geothermal wells , and realize sustainable development , a demonstration geothermal reinjection project is to be carried out in the Xijing Electric Head Office, model has been set up for the feasibility study of the project . The modeling that reveals: ? the temperature change of reinjection water will not influence the temperature field of reservoir; ? flow rate of reinjection will have great influence on the pressure field of reservoir , and it is predicted that if the flow rate of reinjection is 40, 60, and 100 m3/h, the reservoir pressure will increase by 0.8, 1.2,and 2.0 Mpa respectively after 5 years of reinjection, comparing to the reservoir pressure without any reinjection; ? The mineral content of reinjection water will have some influence on the chemical field of the reservoir. It is concluded through the modeling that the reinjection project in Xijing Electric Head Office is technically feasible.
