| Abstract | Geothermal energy is a kind of new energy. Exploitation of geothermal resources causes much less pollution than that caused by using fossil fuel. In addition, it is not climate-dependant. It can be used for electricity generation, space heating, health spa etc. There is abundant geothermal in Tibet which is situated in the geothermal zone. It is very important to deal with the relation between renewable utilization and ecological environment protection in Tibet. For the purpose of sustainable use of the geothermal resources in Tibet, it is essential to set up a series of models including a proper conceptual model of the geothermal system, the reservoir engineering model, the ecological and environmental model. |
