Final estimation of the economic liability of a geothermal project should be based on evaluation of influence of a list of factors, which are different by nature, by the importance, time frame location and interactions or impact to other influencing factors, appearing during the project development. Normally, it begin with the resource characteristics, conversion technology to be applied, planned use (electricity production or direct use), finance construction to cover the investment costs, charactersistics of the energy consumption, costs of regular exploitation, local economic environment, social and environ-mental factors. Neglecting any one of them before taking the final decision can later on have crucial impact to the further destiny of the project. Through a step by step identification of influencing factors for different types of geothermal energy use, evaluation of their importance and estimation of possible influence to the final economy of geothermal project exploitation, a kind of procedure for checking the value of previous investigations is made and value of partial conclusions estimation. In that way, estimation of the quality of final decision is enabled, needed to locate eventual risks with possible influence to the economy of future project exploitation and development. |
