| Abstract | We take a look at multi-tracer tests conducted for the characterization of deep-geothermal and CCS reservoir candidates in Germany between 2003 and 2008, and examine how the properties of the tracers used influenced test performance and results. The idea of using reactive chemicals as 'smart tracers' (cf. Haggerty et al., 2008), in particular as 'thermosensitive tracers' (cf. Robinson et al., 1984) is also given a closer look. |
