| Abstract | Relative permeability characteristics in porous media have been extensively studied and are reasonably well understood. However there have been comparatively few studies of relative permeability in fractures. Given that geothermal reservoir permeabilities are almost always dominated by fractures, understanding of fracture relative permeabilities is essential for accurate geothermal reservoir simulation. Nitrogen-water relative permeabilities were measured in a manufactured vertical fracture and two-phase flow structures were observed and correlated with different flow regimes. |
