| Abstract | space heating was started later in when medium-low temperature geothermal resources was found Beijing and Tianjin during geothermal exploration which initiated by the then Minister of Geology the geologist, Prof J.S. Lee in the early 1970s. After various geothermal heating tests were carried out, geothermal district heating was established in 1987 Tanggu, Tianjin. It has served 100,000 inhabitants and a total construction area of 620.000 square meters there. has been also enforced in Tianjin and will be in Beijing. Geothermal district heating has actually competitive advantages in economical and environmental aspects. |
