| Abstract | The development of the Latera water-dominated field is described in this paper, from the early exploration drilling to the commercial power plant design and construction (currently in progress). The operation of a 4.5 MW power plant, supported by EEC financing, in the initial phases of the project allowed a good knowledge of the reservoir to be gained (areal extension, well connections and hydraulic bamers, ctc.), thus allowing further drilling to be addressed and the optimum exploitation strategy to be defined, e.g. production from the central par: of the field and reinjection to the northern margin. |
