| Abstract | This paper describes the design criteria of the Remote Control Station which is now operating in Larderello area to keep under control geothermoelectric power plants in Italy. At present the RCS is monitoring 26 power plants (total 38 units) and a few heat stations. Some of the plants are located up to 130 Km from the RCS. This paper also shows an analysis of the organization of the on-duty personnel and of the operation parameters with particular emphasis to the unavailability and production data. |
