| Abstract | This paper shows functional and constructional characteristics of Ansaldo's turbo compressors built since 1980 to nowadays for ENEL's 20 MW geothermal power plants. Special remarks are made for centrifugal compressors of the geared kind; it is last Ansaldo's generation in this field of turbomachinery. Mention is made for natural steam and gas mixture chemical and physical properties in different geothermal areas. Diagram showing convenience between ejectors and compressors non-condensable gas extraction system are made. |
