Abstract Geothermal wells in Romania produce geothermal water with temperatures in the range of 55 to with gas water ratio of 2.2 varies between and the main dissolved gas is methane about 99 Along the upward flow in geothermal wells, when the pressure drops below the bubble point pressure of the gasses, two phase flow occurs. To the production tubing diameter, and setting depth for maintaining artesian flow of the wells it is required to determine the pressure drop along the well. A mechanistic approach (Ansari et al, to two phase flow modelling in wells was considered. The model proved to be reliable in modelling two phase pressure drops in low temperature wells. A computer code was designed for the model to speed up the calculation.
