| Abstract | In this study, the distributions of both the initial temperature and the peak intensity of diffracted Xray of pyrophyllite in the Matsukawa geothermal reservoir, where is located in Northeast Japan, were estimated by using geostatistical method, the kriging. These are important to comprehend a hydrothermal convection system in a geothermal reservoir. As a result, it was showed that the high temperature zone extends in the direction of SW deeply and there is frequent occurrence of pyrophyllite along intrusive rocks. Moreover, it can be inferred that the temperature in this reservoir has decreased a few decades degrees C since pyrophyllite was made according to the mutual relationship between the initial temperature and the peak intensity of diffracted X-ray of pyrophyllite. |
