| Abstract | A self-potential (SP) survey was carried out in the Mataloko geothermal prospect, Flores Island, Indonesia. The highest positive SP anomaly was observed at the main geothermal manifestation area. The extent of the positive SP anomaly zone corresponds with the hot-spring areas in a low-resistivity zone. In order to estimate the extent of the high-permeability zone around the hot-spring area, a two dimensional numerical modeling was done with a coupled fluid flow and SP simulator. Rough estimation of the permeability distribution was thus derived by matching the calculated and the observed SP profiles. |
