| Abstract | Geothermal development in Xiong County started in 1972. For more than twenty years, this field has been the biggest county-level geothermal field on geothermal comprehensive utilisation of low and moderate temperature in north China. This paper provides details of the geology in this field, the present geothermal utilisation and discusses the future planned development potential with an emphasis on sustainability. |
