Abstract Alvin I. Remoroza, Allan Troy N. Salazar, Gabriel M. Aragon, Erlindo C. Angcoy, Jr. and Elissa D. del Castillo The Geoscientific Expert System is a collection of computer programs that has been developed to serve as a front-end module of well parameter and chemistry database system in Oracle. It is a tool for data processing and visualization. The scope of the programs includes the creation of often-used chemical and geochemical calculation routines, access and retrieval of data from Oracle and other databases, automated processing, analyses, trending and visualization of geochemical data, and connection to third=party software for simulations (WATCH, PHREEQC, CONDENSER, ect.) and visualizations (GRAPHER, SURFER, MS Office ect.) The program also aims to guide geochemist in drawing inferences in geothermal reservoir processes using geochemistry tools. The programs were first developed using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) as Ecsel Add-Ins and were later migrated to VB6 then to Visual Basic Net for program stability and interoperability to different computer platforms.
