West Japan Engineering Consultants, Inc. (West JEC) has been contracting consulting services for Northern Negros geothermal Power Project (NNGPP). West JEC asks the support by the parent company, Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. (Kyuden), to accomplish superior assistance in operation and maintenance (O&M).Kyuden began geothermal development in 1953 and now successfully runs 5 geothermal power stations including take the first commercial geothermal unit in Japan, and Hatchobaru, world's first double-flash commercial geothermal unit. Kyuden's approach, "one-through development" from resource evaluation to power generation, contributes to the optimization of the energy conversion system as a whole.First, the instruction on the management scheme and site visit to Kyuden's facilities took place in Japan for the manager of NNGPP. Then the seminar on the fundamental of power generation system were held at site for the front-line engineers. Further, advice and assistance for the compilation of the guidelines, ledgers, procedures, and schedules necessary for O&M after commissioning are provided. |
