Abstract The East Brawley Geothermal is a water-dominated, hypersaline resource. Drilling, geology andpow-test datafromfive wells show that production is dominated byfractures associated with faults igneous intrusives. Resource temperatures of 400 and 500 are obtained at depths below 7,000 feet and 10,500 feet, respectively. Short-term jlow tests yielded mass jlow rates of at 100-585 psig wellhead pressures Wellbore simulation predicts capacity of 1200 at WHPwith openhole and reduced skin damage. Additional testing, and exploratory drilling are needed to confirm reservoir extent and conditions.
