Abstract This project presents the exergv anabsis of two Geothermal Power Plant in the Philippines; namely the 52Mwe Mindanaol and the Mahanagdong (Unit I) Geothermal Power plant. The purpose of this anabsis is to compure the components sptem design i. e. the main steum ystem, the gas extraction ystem, cooling water system and the condenser in terms of exergetic e@uency. Basic similm'ties of the two plants, such as operating pressure and unit capacity and their diferences e.g. gas content and type of condenser, provides a good basis for comparison. Areas ofpossible exergy loss recovery have been identified and the merit and dement of both plant design was discussed. In the study the Mianagdong plant appears to have a slightly more eflaent ystem design. Three areas of possible exergy lost recovery were identijed These are the selection of flowmetering device, the arrangement of the gas extraction equipment, and the treatment of the holing water coming fiom he cooling tower.
