| Abstract | The Leyte Geothermal Production Field of Philippine National Oil Company-Energy Development Corporation (PNOC EDC) has been effectively employing acid stimulation to address the requirementso f susfai ning long-termo perationo f the field. This paper reviews the bullhead acid stimulation jobs in LGPF wells as a method of improving and optimizing the performance of these wells. Bullhead acidizing ,s an alternative method of stimulation where acid solution is injected directly through the wellhead. This method replaces fhe conventional acidizing using a rig or coiled tubing. lmprovementsin the output were nated in the wells that underwent bullhead acid stimulation. The usual operational cosfs and duration of acidizing activity were greatly reduced with the implementation of bullhead acidizing. |
