| Abstract | Although not the first hot-water geothermal field under development, the Broadlands geothermal field has shown itself to be quite different in behaviour to other hot-water fields. The field was discharged some five years between 1966 and 1971, and has provided a large source of data in its as yet undeveloped state. This paper presents some of the results inferred from well-testing and highlights (1) the complexity of the system, (2) the importance of wellbore storage effects and (3) the effects of reinjection. |
