Abstract On the basis of well drilling and prospect-hole digging and detailed level-by-level approbation the lithological structure of hydrothermal clays of main thermal fields of Pauzhetka system and Koshelevsky volcano is investigated. The hydrothermal clays form a uniform geological body, which have block-layered structure, thickness from 1.5 to 3.0 m or more, and extent more than 500-1000 m. The structure of hydrothermal clays depends on structure of primary rocks, hydrodynamical type of hydrothermal system, a temperature conditions, geochemistry of thermal waters, and other factors. Mineralogical-geochemical criteria of allocation of horizons of hydrothermal clays – as the general and separate for some thermal fields – are received. The model of rocks transformation to hydrothermal clays, as reflection of influence of deep metalliferous fluids on hypergenesis zone of modern hydrothermal system, is offered.
