| Abstract | In the early stages of developing some of the large Philippine geothermal fields it was usually impractical to provide injection wells, particularly in remote parts of the field, and medium term test effluents were therefore discharged to the environment. Thus two possible pathways of damage existed; discharge of steam to atmosphere and discharge of separated wastewater via a pond to the nearest watercourse. |
