| Abstract | The BTES systems have been under development in recent decades. They have showed to be potential thermal storages for many different applications. Recently, a 3rd generation BTES has been constructed for Finnspring, Finland. In this paper, we compare different generations of BTES systems and geothermal heat pumps. The comparison of BTES includes different borehole parameters, auxiliary equipment, maximum temperature and costs. The goal is to find most suitable ones for different applications |
