| Abstract | Albania is relatively rich with low enthalpy geothermal resources. Due to totally different characteristics Albanian territory is divided in three main geothermal areas, each one of them has it most important resources. This paper represents calculations on their possible direct utilization through combined and cascade systems. Due the expected high investments also the economic analysis including their risk assessment are part of this study. Geothermal water of Llixha hot springs, of Kozani-8 geothermal well, of Bënja Përmet springs and also the potential of hot rocks fulfils all requirements needed for a district heating system in Albania. |
