Tunnels, which pass through underground and moutains are very important infrastructures for our modern social activities. During construction, however spring water from tunnels comes out, spring water is drained with out using in many cases. The Kuriko tunnel which was constructed between mountain area of Fukushima Prefecture to Yamagata Prefecture for Tohoku Chuo Express Way, was opened on November 4th, 2017, snow melting system using heat energy of spring water was introduced to support safe and secure winter road traffic. Outline of the snow melting system will be explained. |
