| Abstract | Geothermal energy is a kind of energy with great potential for development, but if improperly exploited, it will cause damage to geothermal resources, trigger environmental pollution, and make geothermal energy unsustainable. To realize the sustainable development and utilization of geothermal energy, it is necessary to formulate a unified technical guideline for geothermal energy development in the whole industry, ensuring the development of utilization geothermal energy is renewable and sustainable after following this guidance. The guideline includes four requirements to realize the sustainable development of geothermal energy project and life cycle management. Firstly, calculation and evaluation of geothermal recovery resources. Second, design and formulation for the reasonable development plan. Then, that is conducting systematic dynamic monitoring. Finally, scientific reinjection ensures recycle utilization. It is necessary for this guideline to be jointly formulated by geothermal energy-related organizations and institutions all over the world, and followed by worldwide geothermal energy projects and investors. |
