A l l geothermal development project s have actual and potential effects upon the socio-cultural, biological and physical environment of the project, region. Analysis and management of these effects is a fundamental part of KRTA reconnaissance, exploration and development programmes. The objective of this paper is, therefore, to indicate the range of environmental interests which may need to be taken into account in the assessment and development of geothermal resources.
