Abstract This is a techno-economic study probing the feasibility of power generation through Enhanced Geothermal System (EGS) in Pakistan. The concept surrounds around providing the preliminary answers on the usefulness and workability of a geothermal power plant in the country. Operational parameters, relevant technologies and associated risks are also addressed along with economics of the proposal. A site is selected, and preliminary data is retrieved from industrial sources as the starting point. Considering the data available, establishing correlation with other similar geothermal sites, a design of the 1.5 MW geothermal power plant is proposed.
