| Abstract | There is no surface manifestation in the Takigami geothermal area. Deep wells drilled in the area have been making clear the geothermal system underneath. They show that geothermal system at Takigami is classified into three different layering units and that N-S trending fault, named Noine fault, separates the area into two parts; the western and the eastern. This paper describes the layered structure, faultfracture system developed over the area, and hydrothermal alteration, based upon the subsurface information from drilled wells. |
