| Abstract | This article deals with the Dutch developments and policies in the domain of geothermal energy. This article is an update of the article from 2013 (Van Heekeren and Bakema, 2013) and gives the developments in the period 2013-2016. At present 14 DGE projects are established, with a combined capacity of 127 MWth. Heat production (GJ) from DGE has doubled in the last two years, with a 59% growth in 2015. In 2015 more than 2000 ATES and 50.000 GHPS system are in operation. |
