| Abstract | Oil is one of the things that cannot be separated from human needs. Demand for oil will continue to rise with the increase in population and complexity of society. However, it is not coupled with the availability of the world's oil resources. The management of oil in Indonesia, one of which is managed by Pertamina. The availability of oil put emphasis on the oil delivery rate of Pertamina, Pertamina Jatibarang to the Balongan for processing. In this delivery process often delays the rate of oil. One is the occurrence of cavitations. Capitation is the establishment vapor which caused the pressure drop at a constant temperature. The existence of this study aims to determine the capitation phenomenon which occurs in reciprocating pump and resolve this cavitations so it does not interfere delivery of oil to PERTAMINA Balongan The result shows that the rate of oil at the pump less the general rate of the pump. This is what resulted in the occurrence of cavitations and one solution is to perform maintenance and make the pump work cycle efficiently. So that hope reciprocating pump capitation phenomenon can be avoided and minimized. Thus, the process is much faster and can support the needs of the national oil in the face of free trade in 2015. |
