| Abstract | An absorption heat transformer (AHT) is proposed in this paper, and the geothermal tail water can be recycled using AHT to decrease the thermal pollution caused by geothermal tail water and increase the power output. In order to study the performance of AHT under various boundary conditions, the calculation results are validated. The results show that the generator inlet temperature of basic solution is increased from 64.6? to 73.2?, which leads to the net power output of AHT increases by 6.8% and 14.9% than that of Kalina cycle in reference and Kalina power plant, respectively. It is obviously the minimum temperature difference meets the assumption and break the limit caused by the cooling water temperature. The net power output is increased from 2234.5 kW to 3656.2 kW as well as the thermal efficiency is increased from 9.6 % to 13.6 %. |
